Each room has to have the feel that reflects both the purpose of the room as well as your character and at the same time it should also be inviting and practical. While the whole gamut of these points seem to be overwhelming it does not have to be so. With simple changes you can get these attributes to each of these rooms on a budget.
Living room: It should be inviting comfortable and cosy but at the same time reflect your style. Choose a color that blends with your furniture and lets the light be reflected during the day to make the room look bright and inviting. Try and add pillows and throw rugs to add color and class to your existing furniture. Wall decor doesn't have to expensive but can bring out a lot of cheer to the room. If your room is small adding a mirror to it can make it look a little large. Put in some plants to make it a healthy environment and also to add some character to the room.
Dining room: Clutter can make the room look disorganised and small, try and free space in this area so that there is some leg room and add a light that is soft and soothing and not harsh.
Bedroom: Use soothing colors and make a relaxed ambience. Try and have enough free space and make sure that the ambience is one that is relaxing and calming. Choose a color that cools the mood and pleases you when you enter. Again everything from the wall color to the bedding doesn't have to match perfectly but with a llittle imagination you can spruce up the existing decor to suit the new style on a budget
Tips on decorating your bedroom:
While decorating any room it is a must to first figure out what your theme is going to be. The bedroom is no exception as this is the place where we spend 1/3rd of our lives. Try and match your bedding and the wall paper or wall art to that theme. Pick a color that goes with your bedroom theme. Clear away the clutter with effective storage solutions like sliding book cases or a bed with linen drawers and such so that the clutter is not visible outside.
If your current decor and the linen do not match then shop for the right color blend and the right bedding. If you are decorating the room for a child or teenager make sure that the room has nothing that could cause injury or hurt the person using it. As much fun as this can be a little planning ahead can go a long way when trying to decorate a room. If the room is small then finding the right type of storage or organising equipment can be a challenge. Try and look at some decor magazines with innovative ideas and there maybe some solution there that suits or fits your room.
