The first task you need to do when installing mini blinds is to get accurate measurements of the window. Outside mounting offers better sunlight control while inside mounting gives a more customized look.
Lay out the parts and check if they are complete. Next, take left and right brackets and screw them onto the window opening with a good drill. It may take 2-3 screws per bracket. Next, insert the blind headrail onto the brackets and snap them on. When done, cover the brackets with the end caps.
You can also adjust the width of the slats by simply cutting and shaping the ends after installation.
